Bells on Danforth, Sun. Sept. 14

Ward 36 Cyclists invites you to join us for the Scarborough leg of the Bells on Danforth ride this Sunday, September 14 at 11:45 am.

This is a great opportunity to get to know some of the ways cars, cyclists, and pedestrians can all share our public space, and some of the people who are actively working to make Scarborough Southwest a better community.

For the second year in a row we have our very own starting point at the Crossroads of the Danforth for the Bells on Danforth ride to celebrate cycling.

Last year's event was one of the most successful on our calendar.

This year, in cooperation with our friends at TO35Cycles (http://www.to35cycles.ca) and with the support of the Crossroads of the Danforth BIA (http://www.codbia.ca), we are expecting a greater turnout.

Meeting Point Details
11:45 am, Sunday September 14, 2014
Danforth Rd. & Danforth Ave. (Swiss Chalet parking lot)

After leaving the Crossroads of the Danforth starting point, we will cycle to the main Bells on Danforth starting point at East Lynn Park near Woodbine and Danforth.

We will ride at a safe pace along the 12 km route to Toronto City Hall. If you would like to join them, riders will return along Bloor/Danforth to the Crossroads following the event at City Hall.

The 2014 Bells on Danforth ride is the eastern leg of a Toronto-wide ride to celebrate cycling in the city, and it is the largest bike ride through the streets of Toronto. When you take part in the Bells on Danforth, you will join cyclists from all over the city in a parade of bicycles to Toronto City Hall to enjoy the Bikestock celebration (http://www.bikestock.ca/).

See you there!
